Ignis conjured an indiscriminate flare to clear the melee around him, and called out for Torrix to deal with the lizardman with the mace. The dwarven deserter emerged from the battlefield and tackled Ignis's opponent out of the Plaza of Legends. Ignis tried to put down the lizardman two-on-one, but was barred by Torrix wanting a good sporting brawl.

Robin felt the heavy gaze of the ballista-wielder on her as she looked for an escape. She decided to play on her earlier illusion and conjure the image of a zombie running into the fray. The already-panicked rioters scrambled to keep clear of it, but the sniper was undaunted - Robin was barely able to slip her attention in the chaos.

Ekkels, borrowing Klaitos's wind senses, was able to track their silk-masked pursuer. Klaitos decided, as long as the assassin was trackable, he stood nothing to lose by simply leaving, and raced forth to the battlefield at the end of the Plaza of Legends. Ekkels noticed the figure follow, but fall well behind Klaitos's giant pace.

The two arrived behind the line of Torch militia. The injured Captain Caegron was surprised to see him, but told him he needed to help put down the riot if he wanted there to be any militia left to cooperate with him. Unwilling to step into a pointless fight within the zombie siege, Klaitos opted to try and defuse the situation with a spell of cold rain.

Ignis capitalized on the opportunity, relying on his terrorist reputation and dramatic fire to punctuate a final threat directed at the rioters. The morale of the haggard, zombie-haunted, rain-dampened mob was broken, and the group surrendered to the militia/terrorist alliance.

As her allies put down their weapons, the ballista-wielding giant tried to slip away. Klaitos shoved through the crowd and cornered her before she was able to leave the Plaza of Legends. Though Klaitos's height, she was not strong enough to push past him; instead, she levelled her ballista at his face. He swatted it away - getting shot in the scalp for his recklessness - and closed the distance. Caegron, approaching behind her, held her at swordpoint. Her escape thwarted, she dropped her weapon and raised her arms in surrender.
